Faith Bible Church, Coronavirus Response
Wednesday, April 22, 2020 Midweek Update

Dear Church Family,

Even in these times that frustrate us, isolate us, and threaten our health and well being, God is on His throne and He is working all things together for the good of those who love Him and who are called according to His purpose. What an encouragement it is to know God has and is working in your life to accomplish his good purposes.

It’s also been a tremendous encouragement to watch each of our pastors and staff as they also work for your good. They have been tireless in their efforts to to post content, check on people, think creatively, evangelize boldly, and serve faithfully every single day. What a great team of people!

The elders at Faith Bible have also continued to meet, pray, and oversee the church body. We are blown away by how people have remained positive, generous, and ever mindful of others during the last 5 or 6 weeks. It appears we have at least a couple of weeks of this left, and who knows how things will look when we get back to “normal”, but do not grow weary in doing good

It is the time of year when we take nominations for new elders at Faith Bible. Clay Bullard and Roger Brittain are completing three-year terms in June so we will be bringing on 2-3 new elders. If you have a man you’d like to see considered for the office of elder we are taking online submissions here.

Our Children’s Team continues to provide and post great resources for children and families. If you are not getting their emails you can contact Connie Goodson.

Student Small Groups continue to meet via Zoom. If you want to get in on that please contact Justin Kinsley or Addie Zander and they’ll get your student in a group.

If you haven’t sent a word of encouragement to our Media Director, Donovan Drake, let me encourage you to do so. You can post Thank You’s to them on our Facebook page, or email Donovan at your convenience.

Change and Grief by Lead Pastor Jay Risner

There were announcements by the Governor today on the relaxing social distancing mandates. We will take his 3-phase announcement into consideration and communicate a game plan in the next week.

In the meantime, know that you are loved by God and by his people and there is nothing that can separate us from Him!

Thank you for your partnership in the gospel,

-The Faith Bible Church Staff and Elders
