Faith Bible Church, Coronavirus Response

March 12, 2020

Dear Church Family,

As you know, Faith Bible Church is committed to the spiritual health of our congregation. We also want to take the best steps to insure the physical health of our church body. With the recent rise of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the United States, our staff and elders are actively monitoring the situation and understand that our families may have questions regarding our plans should the virus appear in the Oklahoma City/Edmond community.

At this point in time we don’t have any plans to suspend services or scale back our ministry in any way. That could change, but as of March 12thwe are conducting ministry as usual.

Our Children’s Ministry staff has taken some extra precautionary measures, such as: additional toy cleaning, more frequent sanitizing of the computer check-in stations, and continuing with hand sanitizer throughout the ministry area. Additionally, we are keeping the children’s welcome desk and coffee stations disinfected at more frequent intervals.

On Friday, March 13th we have a group returning from a ten-day trip to Israel. We are asking the Israel group, and all of our church families traveling over the spring break holiday, to please consult with the health department to determine if a self-quarantine is recommended.

We’d also like to encourage anyone with underlying health concerns who might be wary of large crowds to please feel the freedom to remain at home and stream our services on Facebook or through our church website, www.faithbibleok.com.

Additionally, if you, or anyone in your family exhibits Coronavirus-type symptoms, we ask that you remain off campus until symptoms subside or until tested through the CDC.

If the situation in Edmond or Oklahoma County does create greater cause for concern we will communicate our response in detail via email and the church website.

Thank you for your partnership in the Gospel,

The Board of Elders

P.S. – WASH YOUR HANDS!
