Faith Bible Church, Coronavirus Response
Friday, July 10, 2020 Update
Dear Church Family,
We are heading into a big weekend at Faith Bible Church. On July 12th we will be restarting much of our Sunday morning programming and also returning to our normal 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM service times.
Here’s a brief rundown of Sunday morning’s on-campus schedule:
- 8:15 – Early ABF hour
- 9:30 – Worship in the Worship Center and overflow in the Chapel
- 9:30 – ABF’s; Student and Children’s Sunday School; Nursery (infant thru Pre-K)
- 11:00 – Worship in the Worship Center and overflow in the Chapel
- 11:00 – ABF’s; Children’s Sunday School and Nursery (infant thru Pre-K)
If you plan to attend your ABF on Sunday please check with the leadership of the class to make sure they are meeting. Several classes are delaying their restart.
And as an additional reminder, if you or anyone in your household is experiencing the following conditions please do not join us for on campus classes or services:
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Chills or repeated shaking with chills
- Loss of taste or smell
- Fever or temperature of 100.4 F or higher
- Have had known close contact with a person who is lab confirmed to have COVID-19 within the last 14 days
- Have recently traveled to an area with substantial community spread
COVID-19 MONITORING: Though our state is currently experiencing an increase in COVID-19 cases we are also monitoring the other data surrounding the virus in our community and are continuing our plan to reopen Sunday school and ABF’s. If conditions or local mandates demand that we change our current plan we are prepared to rollback.
In addition, though our leadership on the platform is not wearing facial coverings we do not want to discourage you from doing so. Please feel comfortable if you choose to wear a mask on Sunday. Please know, however, that we won’t be mandating the wearing of masks. What we will mandate is a gracious and grateful attitude toward all as we come together for worship.
VBS ANNOUNCEMENT: One other significant announcement is that we have elected to cancel this summer’s Vacation Bible School. As a precaution we had already postponed VBS, but as it drew closer we felt we were putting our key leaders and volunteers in a difficult position so we chose to cancel. Everything prepared for this year’s VBS has been boxed up and placed in storage and we are excited that we have a BIG head start for next year’s event.
This Sunday we will resume our study of 1 Corinthians 13. Mark will be preaching from verses 5 and 6—a sermon titled “This Thing Called Love”. We will also celebrate the Lord’s Supper in our morning services. If you are joining us at home, we encourage you to prepare your own communion elements so you can participate with that portion of the service.
Whether online or in-person we are looking forward to you joining us for gathered worship this Sunday. And to worship through giving you can click here or place your contribution in one of the offering boxes at the church.
We hope you join us online or in person this Sunday!
Thank you for your partnership in the gospel,
-The Faith Bible Staff and Elders
